HOW is VEI different from their competitors?

VEI is different from competitors because VEI’s screening tests really are the FASTEST providing results within minutes of sample collection, before food is shipped or eaten.  The competitors tests often require expensive machines, complicated steps requiring trained personnel, and the results can take several hours to even several days to obtain.  Or if samples are sent to an outside laboratory, it is costly and the time taken to receive the results if too late to be effective at finding problems and preventing the spread of disease.

WHY do VEI tests provide bacteria detection faster than any other tests available?

VEI tests detect the enzymes produced by the bacteria and a healthy bacteria can be producing thousands of enzymes.  Most other bacteria detection tests need to find the actual bacteria. 

WHY is VEI testing better than the ATP tests?

ATP is adenosine triphosphate, and it is found in all organic matter.  A positive ATP test does not mean that bacteria is present, only that organic matter is present.  ATP cannot be used once the food handling begins because it would be positive due to the presence of food (organic matter).  However, the VEI test can be used at any time during the presence of food as it will only be positive for the presence of bacteria.
