VEI’s food safety products, MoniTek for the detection of bacteria on surfaces and QuikAlert for the detection of bacteria on food products, are now being produced and distributed by DeltaTRAK, Inc., a leading innovator of Cold Chain Management and Food Safety (www.deltatrak.com). In addition to VEI products, VEI’s sister company, FluoroVei LLC (www.fluorovei.com), will also have information on its full line of unique rapid diagnostic products, such as its fabulous Salmonella test which provides results in as little as 4 hours, instead of the typical 48 – 72 hours.

Recalls are occurring every day even though some companies are testing their food products for bacterial contamination.  One such company sent their sample out to be tested, but had to wait for the results.  Too Late!  Food was shipped, people got sick and then it was recalled. 

Companies big and small are suffering because of misleading ads by food safety companies who use the word “Rapid”, only to find out that there is usually at least a 24 hour growth time required before the “Rapid” test can be performed.  Often times these so-called rapid tests require expensive complex equipment.  None of this is practical.

VEI’s tests on the other hand, ARE RAPID, providing feedback within 20 minutes of sample collection.

VEI is proud to be the only company that has a “real solution” to the problem, and bases its tests on solid science that has been around since the 1950’s.

With the FDA pushing to establish basic preventative controls to prevent contamination outbreaks, and legislation such as the Feinstein Food Safety Bill, it’s time for every food-related business to get involved by taking responsibility for the food they provide.  However, choices are limited due to high costs and slow results, making it hard to find a practical means of achieving this goal.  Vista Enterprises Incorporated (VEI) has the alternative solution, through the use of its fast and inexpensive screening tests such as MoniTek and QuikAlert.  These tests allow every business, big or small, to check frequently for potential problems thereby safeguarding the public and their business, reducing the fear of an outbreak or recall.

While VEI’s continues its R&D projects for various diagnostic products, VEI is putting additional effort into the sales and marketing of its food safety products.  As the world continues to struggle with numerous outbreaks of illness from food contamination, the Board of Directors at VEI feels a duty to create more awareness of the products VEI has produced and which are available to help prevent these problems from occurring.

It was a busy 2009 for Vista Enterprises Incorporated (VEI) and its R&D projects.  As these projects continue and grow in 2010, VEI also intends to focus more on its own unique screening tests that provide rapid results for food safety.  In 2010, VEI will strive to bring its food safety screening tests to the forefront and aide in the war against the ongoing food safety & sanitation crisis that is still running rampant in the food industry.

Vista Enterprises Incorporated (VEI) will be exhibiting at the upcoming PMA (Produce Marketing Association) show in Monterey, California on Sunday July 26^th.  VEI is excited about meeting the many companies and individuals who can benefit from it’s fast inexpensive tests to detect harmful bacteria, that VEI has to offer.
